My main projects include examining the effects of extreme drought on the root traits (physical and chemical) of native and alien plants in Switzerland. To this end, I will use a combination of meta-analysis and experiments for generating a broader understanding of how variable root trait responses of grassland plants can affect plant communities in a world with increasing drought events.
