I am a PhD student in the group of Theoretical Ecology and Evolution who is co-supervised by Maddy. For my PhD, I am interested in eco-evo dynamics and bridging theory and experiments. My main interest is how ecological interactions between species shape the evolution of individual species. In the TERR lab, I am studying how adaptation to novel abiotic environments proceeds differently in mono-cultures vs. co-cultures. For this, I am doing experiments with Escherichia coli and Peudomonas putida where I am evolving them in heat and antibiotic conditions.
