I am keen on the health and sustainability of soil ecosystems in future environments. My current research centers on the alterations in coping strategies of two species of Collembola in soil under the dual pressures of climate warming and predation. Through a series of experiments, this project is aimed at exploring how springtails optimize their body size when confronted with two kinds of stress simultaneously, and whether these stress-specific body size responses make them more vulnerable to interacting stress. The project will help address a fundamental question in ecology: whether survival strategies in one environment will be beneficial in different environments, especially in the context of a warming climate.
